Willows Way celebrates 20th anniversary

Gaia Cosmo was born during an era when society still shut away people with her disabilities.
Times have changed. Instead of an institution, 27-year-old Cosmo lives in an apartment with a roommate. She goes shopping and hangs out with friends. But in public, she often becomes the object of unwanted attention.
"People are curious," she said. "They sit there and stare at me."
